John Todd

John Todd is a chartered professional engineer with an extensive background of over 30 years in manufacturing industries. He has held senior positions with a number of companies including ten years as Regional General Manager of Caroma Industries, Managing Director of ATCO Australia Pty Ltd and Managing Director of Disposable Products Pty Ltd.

In 1993, John founded AEC Environmental Pty Ltd, an environmental engineering consultancy offering asbestos audits, environmental site assessments and related services. Since then, AEC, with John as Managing Director, has conducted many thousands of projects involving asbestos audits, environmental site assessments and contaminated site clean-ups across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Whilst running Caroma Industries, John was approached by the South Australian Government to become an inaugural member of the Government-sponsored venture capital fund, Enterprise SA Ltd. John served as a Director for over five years and was involved in approving equity and loan finance to many South Australian-based companies.

John was elected President of the South Australian Division of the Institution of Engineers in 1984. From 2004 to 2006, he served as President of the SA Division of the Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association.
