AEC Environmental offers a wide range of Occupational Hygiene services including:

  • Dust and fibre monitoring (e.g. metals, silica, synthetic mineral fibres, asbestos)
AEC Environmental laboratory services are accredited with the National Association of Testing Authorities (Australia) (NATA) to:
  • Perform asbestos fibre counting
  • Identify asbestos from samples
  • Report on findings under the authority of a NATA accredited laboratory.
Maintaining our NATA accreditation requires rigorous Quality Assurance management systems of analytical procedures and thorough training of laboratory staff. The presence of a fully operational NATA accredited laboratory location in our Adelaide office enables fast turnaround for clients.

Asbestos laboratory services include:
  • Bulk sample analysis to determine asbestos content and type
  • Analysis of asbestos in soils to determine the potential health exposure to airborne fibres and the most appropriate disposal method of contaminated soil
  • Air monitoring of work environments for airborne asbestos fibres conducted in accordance with NOHSC standards
  • Mobile laboratory for airborne fibre monitoring.
